Small Games of Chance
The Local Option Small Games of Chance (LOSGC) was enacted in 1988. This Act allows qualified nonprofit organizations to conduct small games of chance for the purpose of raising funds for the promotion of public interest purposes. Going and Plank can help certain types of charitable organizations, religious organizations, fraternal organizations, civic and service organizations, and veteran groups, get a LOSGC license to conduct daily drawings, weekly drawings, punchboards, pull-tabs, and raffles, including lotteries. To ensure your small game of chance is legal, contact an experienced business lawyer at Going and Plank.

The Challenges of Combining LOSGC and Liquor Licenses
Many organizations that hold a LOSGC license also hold a “Club” liquor license. Going and Plank can help organizations with LOSGC comply with Pennsylvania’s complicated and sometimes confusing legal restrictions that can endanger their liquor license and their ability to operate. Licensees must be aware that there are prize limits and record keeping requirements that are set by statute.
Protect your liquor license. If your business, private club, or organization conducts or plans to conduct small games of chance, contact a business lawyer at Going and Plank to make sure you understand the laws and regulation.
